SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH ON BLUFF ROAD TEMPORARILY CLOSES TRAFFIC OUTSIDE KINGSTON
A late-night single-vehicle accident on Bluff Road resulted in a temporary road closure and a heavy emergency response following a collision involving a power pole.
At approximately 10:00 p.m. last night, a Jeep struck a power pole before overturning and landing in the roadway, completely blocking traffic.
Emergency Response

First Responders: Kingston emergency crews, the Midtown Volunteer Fire Department, and Roane County Sheriff’s deputies rushed to the scene.

Utility Repairs: Rockwood Electric Utility personnel were called to address significant damage to the affected power pole and local electrical service.
Driver Condition & Road Status
The driver was evaluated and treated at the scene for injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
Bluff Road was closed for an undetermined period of time while first responders attended to the driver and utility crews worked to secure the area and repair downed equipment. The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) is currently handling the traffic report and investigating the incident.
