SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH ON PUMP HOUSE ROAD SENDS THREE TO KNOXVILLE HOSPITALS

A Friday evening single-vehicle accident on Pump House Road near Tom Fuller Park resulted in injuries to three occupants and temporarily shut down the roadway for over an hour.
According to Rockwood Police Officer and Public Relations Director Jacob Cofer, the wreck occurred at approximately 7 p.m. when 16-year-old driver Ally Nicole Freels reportedly looked down to get a drink. Her 2017 Nissan Maxima ran off the right side of the road, entered a ditch, and struck a tree.
Freels, an 18-year-old passenger named Dalton Livingston, and a one-year-old child were all injured in the collision. Emergency personnel from the Rockwood Police and Fire departments, along with local first responders, deployed two ambulances to the scene.
  • Ally Nicole Freels (16, Driver): Transported to Dolly Parton’s Children’s Hospital in Knoxville.
  • One-year-old child (Passenger): Transported to Dolly Parton’s Children’s Hospital in Knoxville.
  • Dalton Livingston (18, Passenger): Transported to Tennova Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville.
Pump House Road remained closed to traffic for more than an hour to accommodate emergency response, patient care and transport, and the ongoing investigation.
