SINGLE-VEHICLE CRASH ON GALLAHER ROAD LEAVES ONE HOSPITALIZED AS FIRE CREWS RESPOND TO MULTIPLE WRECKS
Late Monday night just before midnight, emergency crews responded to a severe single-vehicle accident near the entrance of The Preserve on Gallaher Road, just outside the Kingston city limits. The vehicle crashed and caught fire, leaving the lone occupant injured and requiring transport to a Knoxville hospital.
Because no personnel from the East Roane County Volunteer Fire Department were available at the time, the Kingston Fire Department dispatched a fire truck to extinguish the blaze. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident, and further details have not yet been released.
Additionally, a separate single-vehicle wreck occurred early Monday morning on Blair Road, prompting responses from the Blair Volunteer Fire Department, the Sheriffโs Department, and an ambulance. That crash resulted in a 16-year-old being transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
