ANTHONY WEBSTER FACES CHARGES FOR ALLEGED SEX OFFENDER REGISTRY AND COMMUNITY SUPERVISION VIOLATIONS

A Crossville man is scheduled to appear in the Cumberland County General Sessions Court on August 31, 2026, to face multiple charges related to alleged violations of the stateโ€™s sex offender registry and community supervision requirements.
Anthony David Webster, who is currently serving a community supervision for life sentence stemming from a 2013 conviction for four counts of aggravated sexual battery in Shelby County, is facing three separate criminal charges filed on July 23, 2026.
According to affidavits of complaint sworn by Tennessee Department of Correction Probation and Parole Officer Harli Langford, the charges stem from an incident on or about June 30, 2026:
  • Sex Offender Registration Violation: Authorities allege Webster failed to update his primary residence on the sex offender registry within the required 48 hours. Probation officers located him at a Malvern Road residence in Crossville, where the homeowner stated Webster had been staying for consecutive nights over a three-week period, despite his registered address being on Maple Branch Road.
  • Community Supervision Violations: Webster faces two counts of violating the terms of his lifetime supervision. The first alleges he broke rules by changing his residence or leaving his designated county without prior permission from his supervising officer. The second alleges he failed to obey state laws by committing the new registry violation.
The case is set for court docket review in Cumberland County.
