COLT WESTON SEIBER FACES COURT ON TUESDAY FOR 2025 LANTANA ROAD CRASH THAT KILLED TDOC CORPORAL
Colt Weston Seiber, 19, is scheduled for a court deadline hearing on September 8, 2026, facing charges of vehicular homicide by recklessness and vehicular homicide involving driver intoxication. The charges stem from a July 2025 head-on collision on Lantana Road near Laurel Creek in Crossville.
According to Tennessee Highway Patrol reports, Seiber was driving south in a 2007 GMC Sierra when his vehicle veered off the road. After over-correcting, the truck crossed into the northbound lane and struck a 2017 Toyota RAV4 head-on. The collision resulted in both vehicles blocking the roadway and catching fire.
The driver of the RAV4, 60-year-old Dennis W. Woodring—a Cumberland County resident and corporal with the Tennessee Department of Correction—died at the scene. Seiber sustained injuries in the crash and was subsequently served with the warrant at the Cumberland County Jail on August 4, 2026. He is currently being held on a $500,000 bond.
