CROSSVILLE POLICE LOCATE WOMAN REPORTED MISSING IN SOUTH CAROLINA AFTER SEARCH
Crossville police successfully located and cleared a missing person case after a 22-year-old woman was found safe in Greenville, South Carolina.
Mayrose Graceday Amoro was reported missing on October 3, 2026, after leaving a residence on Quail Ridge Drive in Crossville on foot following a verbal argument with her ex-boyfriend the previous afternoon. Family members in South Carolina grew concerned when Amoro’s grandmother recently passed away and they were unable to reach her, prompting reports to local law enforcement.
Officers launched an intensive search, tracking leads across local businesses, hotels, and gas stations—including checking a nearby McDonald’s and interstate overpass—while investigating suspicious behavior and conflicting statements reported by the ex-boyfriend.
The investigation concluded on October 4, 2026, when Crossville police received a phone call from Amoro herself. She confirmed to officers that she was safe and had returned home to Greenville, South Carolina, after taking a bus from Knoxville. The Greenville Police Department responded to her residence, verified her identity, and confirmed she was safe, allowing local authorities to officially close the case.
