GEORGIA FUGITIVE ARRESTED IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY WITH SUSPECTED FENTANYL HIDDEN IN BRA

We now have more details on the arrest of Kristin King, which we reported last week.
A routine traffic stop for broken taillights on Highway 127 South led to the arrest of a 38-year-old wanted fugitive following a multi-agency operation on October 8, 2026.
Kristin Renee King, of Jamestown, Tennessee, was taken into custody after Cumberland County Sheriff’s Deputies intercepted her vehicle near Highway 68 following a “Be On the Lookout” (BOLO) alert issued by neighbouring Bledsoe County.

False Identities and K9 Sniff

Deputy Jason Powers initiated the traffic stop on an older model gray Honda Civic after noticing its taillights were not functioning. When questioned by law enforcement, King repeatedly provided false names and dates of birth, including “Jennifer Lynn Beaty” and “Jennifer Garrett.”
During the stop, K9 Deputy H. Atkinson and his partner, Kilo, performed a free-air sniff around the perimeter of the vehicle. K9 Kilo positively alerted to the presence of narcotics at the driver’s side door.
A system check on the vehicle’s registration revealed that the registered owner—Kristin King—was driving on a revoked license and had an outstanding arrest warrant out of Georgia with full extradition orders. Officers confirmed King’s true identity using a Criminal Justice Portal photograph.

Concealed Contraband and Jail Search

A initial search at the scene revealed a pink and purple zipper bag tucked into King’s waistband containing:
  • Digital scales
  • A cut straw
  • Three syringes
  • A tourniquet
  • A container with suspected fentanyl residue
While being transported to the Cumberland County Intake Facility, officers observed King making suspicious movements inside the patrol vehicle. During a subsequent strip search conducted by corrections officers, personnel recovered a gray plastic bag concealed inside the left side of her bra.
The bag contained:
  • 15.45 grams of an orange powdered substance suspected to be Fentanyl (divided into two plastic bags and a plastic jar)
  • 1.93 grams of a white powdered substance
  • An imitation controlled substance

Pending Charges and High Bond

King faces a wide array of charges in Cumberland County General Sessions Court, including:
  • Warrant for Arrest from Another State (Georgia extradition warrant, set with a $1,000,000 bond)
  • Manufacturing/Delivery/Sale of a Controlled Substance ($10,000 bond)
  • Criminal Impersonation (2 counts)
  • Driving on a Revoked/Suspended License
  • Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Imitation Controlled Substance
The seized narcotics were logged into evidence and sent to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) for laboratory testing. Deputy Powers indicated that search warrants are being sought for King’s seized iPhone as the investigation continues.
The male passenger present in the vehicle, identified as 55-year-old Andrew Tinch of Jamestown, was released from the scene without charges. King is scheduled to appear in court on November 9, 2026.
