ROCKWOOD CONCLUDES STREET FESTIVAL SEASON WITH SUCCESSFUL DOWNTOWN EVENT
The City of Rockwood wrapped up its festival season on a high note Monday evening, drawing an estimated 500 attendees to downtown Rockwood for the final Second Monday Street Festival of the year.
Visitors gathered along the downtown strip on Oct. 12 to enjoy live musical performances, local food vendors, and a variety of children’s activities. Despite a challenging season that saw several previous events canceled due to inclement weather, city officials expressed strong satisfaction with the turnout and community engagement for the season finale.
Monday night’s event marks the end of the festival’s run for 2026. The monthly gathering will pause through the fall and winter months, with November’s event canceled due to anticipated colder temperatures.
Rockwood City Administrator Becky Ruppe extended her gratitude to the community members, vendors, and visitors who supported the street festival throughout the year.
The popular monthly series is scheduled to return to downtown Rockwood in May 2027.
