An Ohio man died in a single vehicle motorcycle crash in Maryville Thursday night. Blount County Deputies say that 61-year-old Jeffrey Kent Staser of Coshockton, Ohio, was traveling on East Lamar Alexander Parkway in Townsend when his rear brake locked up. The cycle slid off the roadway on a right hand curve, went around 30 feet and then struck a street sign. The bike continued traveling in a straight line while throwing Staser into a 15 foot ditch. Authorities say Staser was wearing a helmet.
