ACCIDENT LEAVES ONE INJURED AND TWO ARRESTED

A two vehicle accident in Roane County left one injured and two arrested. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 43-year-old Darick Picca of Wartburg was attempting a left turn off of State Route 61 onto Old Coalfield Road when Picca turned right into the path of an oncoming 1993 Honda Accord driven by 42-year-old Amanda Bingham of Clinton, Tennessee. Bingham was injured in the accident and treated for injuries. She was also cited for having an unregistered vehicle and driving without insurance. Picca was not hurt but was arrested for DUI, possession of schedule II drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license, driving with no insurance and failure to give due care. A passenger in Picca’s vehicle, 22-year-old Ravann Starr Landrum of Wartburg was arrested for failure to render aid and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in injury. Both Picca and Landrum were transported to the Roane County jail.
