MAN SENTENCED FOR CHILD SEX CRIMES

A Roane County man will serve 18 years at 100 percent after pleading guilty to child sex crimes. Court officials say 31-year-old Bob Lee Babineau of Kingston was originally charged with seven counts of aggravated sexual battery and two counts of child rape. A plea deal was reached where Babineau plead guilty to just two counts of aggravated sexual battery. Roane County Criminal Court Judge Jeff Wicks gave the 18 year sentence to Babineau where after he is released from prison around 2035, he must be on supervised probation and the sex offender registry for life.
