AIRPORT ROAD CRASH IN ROANE COUNTY LEAVES TWO INJURED
Wednesday evening, a two-vehicle crash on Airport Road in Roane County during heavy rain left two men injured. Investigators say 49-year-old Dale Swicegood of Rockwood was headed south on Airport Road, attempting to negotiate a sharp curve. He lost control of his Chevy pickup, crossed the center line and struck a northbound Dodge pickup driven by 30-year-old James T. Kings of Harriman. Both Kings and his passenger, 27-year-old Jacob L. Hamby of Kingston, were injured. All three men were wearing seatbelts. Swicegood, who was uninjured, was charged with failure to maintain a lane of travel and failure to exercise due care.
