WALKER IN ROANE COUNTY JAIL, CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE COUNTS
Yesterday morning, Roane County deputies conducting an intake on a prisoner from the Rockwood Police Department found more than they bargained for. They asked 31-year-old Michael Shawn Walker if he had any drugs on, in or about his person; he replied that he did not… but another deputy suspected otherwise. Deputies conducted a pat down and a strip search that did not turn up anything.
About an hour later, however, Walker passed a small metal canister that contained two bags of a leafy green substance weighing 1.1 grams and six full and two partial Alprazolam pills. Deputies added charges of introduction of contraband into a penal institution to the list of charges already lodged against Walker.
Those charges include criminal trespass, aggravated burglary, two separate counts of theft of property not from a building, vandalism, possession of burglary tools, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a revoked or suspended license.
