ALABAMA COMPANY RECALLS EGGS OVER SALMONELLA CONCERNS

An Alabama company is recalling eggs sold in three states, including Tennessee, after 14 people became sick with salmonella.

Gravel Ridge Farms is recalling its Cage Free Large Eggs for a potential salmonella contamination. The reported illnesses were all confirmed at locations using the company’s eggs.

The illnesses were reported between July 10 and August 8. Two people had to be hospitalized, but no deaths have been reported.

They were sold between June 25 and September 6 in restaurants and retail stores in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee, with a UPC code of 7-06970-38444-6.

If you have any Gravel Ridge Farms eggs, you’re asked to take them back to the store for a refund or throw them away.
