ALABAMA RANKED #1 IN AP COLLEGE FOOTBALL POLL
The Associated Press released its preseason Top 25 college football poll and, to no one’s surprise, Alabama topped the list at #1.
The Crimson Tide received 42 of 61 first-place votes. Clemson (#18) landed 18 first-place votes and Wisconsin (#4) netted one vote.
Other SEC teams in the Top 25 include Georgia (#3), Auburn (#9), Mississippi State (#18) and LSU (#25).
Tennessee will play all three of the top-ranked teams in the nation this season, hosting Alabama at Neyland Stadium and going on the road to face Georgia and Auburn.
The Vols open their schedule on September 1 against West Virginia (#17) in Charlotte, N.C.
