ALL POWER IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY RESTORED FROM LAST SATURDAY NIGHTS STORM

Through the hard work of utility workers with VEC in Cumberland County, all power has been restored to areas that were hard hit from last Saturday nights severe weather. Bobby Randolph with Volunteer Electric told 105.7 News this afternoon that just over 13,000 customers were without power last Sunday morning. That number dropped to 5,000 as of Monday and yesterday the figure dropped to within 100 out of power. Randolph said if a VEC customer still has power issues, they can call the automated system at (931) 484-3527 and when the computer attendant answers, press 1 to report an outage.

Crews are still working to restore power to many in Roane County. Roane County as well as Cookeville took the brunt of the storm. Crews have not set a timeline for total restoration of power but have been working day and night to repair extensive damage to the power system.
