ANDERSON COUNTY HUMAN TRAFFICKING INVESTIGATION NETS 13 ARRESTS

On Friday, Anderson County District Attorney General Dave Clark announced that 13 people have been charged during an investigation into human trafficking, sexual exploitation of minors, and prostitution. The 7th Judicial Crime Task Force worked in hand with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Dept, and Clinton and Oliver Springs Police in planning, monitoring, and supporting the operation. Law Enforcement personnel set up in an area of a hotel posing as an illicit sexual services customer with intended targets being those who would exploit women, and profit from their participation in the sex trade. The FBI and DA’s Office had victim service coordinators at the scene to give aid to women or juveniles exposed to human trafficking or who were sexually exploited. The 13 who were charged during the investigation were booked into the Anderson County Jail.
