ANIMAL SHELTER NOTES HEIGHTENED INTEREST AFTER RIBBON CUTTING
Cumberland County Animal Shelter Director Andrea Gaskins said media coverage of last week’s ribbon-cutting ceremony generated considerable interest among the public. “We’ve had several people come by to check it out. And we’ve had a few adoptions,” she told 105.7 News. For the month of July, the shelter has had approximately 20 animal adoptions. That figure does not include any animals placed in foster facilities or rescue centers.
