Two small quakes registered in East Tennessee on Thursday, a day after the 4.4-magnitude earthquake – and several aftershocks – shook Meigs County and could be felt across parts of Cumberland County and as far south as Atlanta. The first of those two aftershocks, a magnitude-1.5 quake, occurred at 10:20 a.m., a little south of the former K-25 site. A second quake, measuring 2.7 on the Richter Scale, was reported near Blaine, in Knox County, at 1:46 p.m. Thursday.
