According to court affidavits, Ashley Sue Asberry has built a paper trail of offenses spanning over a year, culminating in her recent arrest following a short-lived attempt to flee officers on foot. She is currently represented by attorney Joseph Wyatt.

• Chainsaw Theft at Meadow Park Lake (April 2025): Investigator Robert Kollros cited surveillance footage showing Asberry removing a $500 Stihl MS311 chainsaw from the bed of a pickup truck at Meadow Park Lake before driving away in a white SUV.
