Authorities in Lake Tansi released a report today of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle yesterday. It states a 2016 Chevy Silverado driven by 39-year-old William Markus Lewis of Crossville was traveling east on Natchez Trace 50 feet from Moccasin Lane when he said he looked down for some reason and did not see 60-year-old Alice I. Brown walking on the same side of the road. Lewis hit Brown in the rear resulting in her being thrown around 15 feet into a ditch. She was transported by ambulance to Brown Elementary School where Lifestar flew her to U.T. Medical Center for treatment of suspected serious injuries.
