BODY OF DALE HOLLOW LAKE DROWNING VICTIM RECOVERED

CELINA, Tenn. – Crews recovered the body of a father who drowned on Dale Hollow lake over the weekend.  The man was swimming with his son in the lake Saturday afternoon. The son was pulled from the water by passengers in another boat in the area, but witnesses said they saw the father go under and he didn’t come back up.

Clay County Emergency Management Agency Director Natalie Boone said crews returned to the lake Monday morning. They were searching in an area near the Kentucky state line and Trooper Island.  The man’s body was recovered Monday afternoon.  Crews were using sonar and divers in the water. They had also had assistance from surrounding counties. The man’s name has not been released.
