BRADLEY COUNTY JAIL REPORTEDLY ON LOCKDOWN FOR LACK OF TRAINED OFFICERS
Bradley County jail inmates are on lockdown because the facility does not have adequate officers to ensure safety. Media outlets reports the jail has more than six unfilled positions and other officers are on medical leave. Of the 68 officers, more than 40 are in their first year and are supposed to be supervised. The jail failed an inspection by the Tennessee Corrections Institute in February and did not meet minimum standards in a re-inspection last month.
