A recall is in effect for TNT Red, White & Blue Smoke fireworks because the product could potentially explode unexpectedly upon being lit. The fireworks were sold May through June at stores like Kroger, Target and Walmart. The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the recall on June 27, citing that the pyrotechnic devices could cause burns or other injuries to consumers. The fireworks were sold in a bag containing three canisters, one red, one blue and one white. Each canister measures about 1 inch in diameter and 5 inches long. the TNT logo appears on the packaging, as well as UPC number 027736036561. The commission recommends discontinuing use immediately.
