EIGHT ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES IN KINGSTON
Eight people were taken into custody early this morning (Thursday, June 29, 2017) following a noise complaint in Roane County. According to the arrest report from the Kingston Police Department, officers were called to an apartment on South Third Street around 1:30 this morning. When they arrived, they saw the door to the dwelling open with loud music coming from inside. As officers approached, they allegedly smelled a strong odor commonly associated with marijuana. Once inside, officers found eight adults and a juvenile. Police also allegedly observed a glass pipe on a table in plain view with marijuana in it and located a bag weighing 1 ounce with marijuana inside. The report states that the juvenile told police she had been smoking the drug in the apartment with the adults. The juvenile was later released to a care giver. Officers arrested 23-year-old Caleb Stephenson of Kingston, 47-year-old Angela Kennedy of Kingston, 25-year-old Anthony Alfredo of Etowah, 19-year-old Sherokee Gore of Etowah, 19-year-old Katie Clark of La Follette, 39-year-old Samantha Clark of La Follette, 18-year-old Robert Schultz of Knoxville and charged each with of simple possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Officers arrested 20-year-old Ivory Peddicord of Harriman and charged her with manufacture, sell and delivery of a Schedule VI drug, possession of drug paraphernalia and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
