BREAKING NEWS – CHEMICAL PLANT EXPLOSION IN BRADLEY COUNTY

BREAKING NEWS – The Bradley County EMA is advising people to stay out of the Charleston area of the county after an explosion took place this afternoon at Wacker chemical plant. Bradley County schools near the plant have been sheltered in place. School officials are keeping air conditioners off in order to avoid contact with the smoke in the air from the explosion. Emergency officials are asking that people residing in the area of the plant to stay indoors and turn off air conditioners. School officials are asking that parents of children on buses 1, 3, 22 and 43 pick up their children at Ocoee Middle School. Officials say this is the second time in a week that the plant has experienced an incident. So far, no injuries are reported. This is a breaking news story and more information will be released later.
