BREAKING NEWS -SHOOTING INCIDENT REPORTED AT FICOSA PLANT IN COOKEVILLE
BREAKING NEWS – Authorities are confirming an incident has taken place at the Ficosa plant in Cookeville. Officers say the facility is secured and emergency responders have set up a staging area right outside the plant. The nature of the incident was not revealed as this is a breaking news story. The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that three people have sustained injuries including the shooter. Medical helicopters are in route at this time.
The Cookeville Ficosa facility, which has a total surface area of 270,000 square feet, produces rear view systems for automotive manufacturers such as Nissan, Ford, Volkswagen, Fiat Chrysler and General Motors. As a leader in painting and injection processes, the plant has an average production capacity of 4.5 million rear view mirrors. The plant moved from Cumberland to Putnam County about one year ago.
