BROOKE ANN CRABTREE FACES HEAVY FELONY CHARGES IN VIOLENT 2024 CARJACKING AND KIDNAPPING
A major felony case involving an alleged armed carjacking, violent assault, and kidnapping is moving through the Cumberland County court system, with co-defendant Brooke Ann Crabtree, arrested on March 19th 2025, set for a court deadline hearing on July 21, 2026.
According to court records, Crabtree—represented by attorney Joseph T. Wyatt—faces a raft of severe criminal charges stemming from a February 2025 indictment. Her bond has been set at $300,000.
The Alleged Incident
The charges trace back to a violent incident on September 10, 2024, when Crabtree and two co-defendants, Chase Edward Trisdale and Robert Aguilar Garay III, allegedly targeted two victims.
Court records outline a harrowing sequence of events:
-
Unlawful Confinement: The trio allegedly kidnapped and unlawfully confined both victims to facilitate a robbery and vehicle break-in.
-
Armed Escalation: Garay is accused of brandishing a black handgun to place the victims in fear of imminent injury or death.
-
Physical Assault: Both Crabtree and Trisdale allegedly inflicted bodily injury on a male victim during the encounter.
Stolen Property and Vehicle Burglary
During the alleged robbery, the suspects took a wallet, credit cards, an out-of-state driver’s license, two cell phones, $1,000 in cash, and the key fob to a 2014 Chevrolet Volt directly from the victims.
Crabtree and Trisdale are further accused of breaking into the Chevrolet Volt to steal personal items, including CDs, a hatchet, and a sheathed knife.

Crabtree faces multiple formal charges, including:
