BRUSH FIRE DESTROYS KUBOTA SIDE BY SIDE VALUED AT $18,000 IN CUMBERLAND COUNTY
Cumberland County firefighters and deputies responded yesterday to a brush fire on Window Creek Farm Road.
The report states the blaze destroyed a Kubota side-by-side valued at $18,000 and a chainsaw on board valued at $500. According to the owner, he usually parks the Kubota next to a barn 100 yards from where the fire happened. The owner told the deputy he doesn’t remember parking it where the blaze occurred.
The resident told officers he left late yesterday morning and returned 6 hours later to see the field behind his house on fire.
He told deputies he believed someone set the field on fire because he wouldn’t let people hunt on his property anymore.
The report did not name any suspects in the incident.
