BURGLARY REPORTED FROM DRIPPING SPRINGS ROAD PROPERTY IN MONTEREY
A Dripping Springs Road resident contacted Cumberland County deputies Monday afternoon about a burglary from a garage and barn on his property. Two trailers, a Kubota Mule and multiple tools were discovered missing There were no signs of forced entry and the owner said he couldn’t recall whether he’d locked the garage door. A neighbor said he remembered seeing a red pickup leaving the property, pulling a trailer with the Kubota on it, but figured the owner had sold it.
The missing items include an 8×16-foot black tandem-axle trailer; a 5×7-foot trailer, a Kubota Mule 900, a Lincoln welder, 5,000-watt generator, tool chest with tools, a four-foot bolt cutter, a three-foot aluminum crescent wrench, a wooden-handled broad ax, a sledgehammer, small tool chest, a set of router bits, a Craftsman 16-inch chainsaw, a Husqvarna weed eater and two impact socket sets. Total value of the stolen items is approximately $24,400. There are no suspects at this time, but an investigation is ongoing.
