EVIDENCE OF FORCED ENTRY IN HOME BURGLARY ON 127 SOUTH

A resident of Cumberland County alerted deputies early Monday morning that his home, on the 4800 block of U.S. Highway 127 South, had been broken into, and several items were taken. The homeowner also reported finding a mattock on the porch that did not belong to him. The front door showed signs of forced entry. Total estimated value of the stolen items is $500.

There are no suspects at this time, but an investigation is underway.

Items stolen include a Hoover vacuum cleaner, a table lamp, an antique water pitcher and bowl, and a set of silverware in a wooden chest.
