A tractor trailer driver was treated for minor injuries in what police are calling a freak accident on Interstate 40 in Roane County yesterday. Officers say the rig was traveling east between Kingston and the Lawnville Road exit when a buzzard flew into his windshield. The impact sent glass pieces at the driver. A couple of cars following the tractor trailer had to take quick evasive action to prevent from hitting the back of the rig. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
