CHILD ON BICYCLE HIT BY VEHICLE IN CROSSVILLE – FOLLOW-UP STORY

(FOLLOW-UP STORY) – Crossville police released a report this morning of an incident where a child riding a bicycle was hit by a vehicle yesterday. It states a 7-year-old boy was attempting to cross Old Lantana Road near Justice Street when he was struck. The female driver reportedly stopped momentarily, told an individual at the scene she lived close by if they needed anything then drove off. The boy was transported by ambulance with a parent on board to Cumberland Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. Police are searching for the driver of the automobile. No description of the vehicle was listed on the report other than the color is silver.
