COLONIAL PIPELINE RETURNED TO SERVICE AFTER REPAIRS
The Alabama pipeline which exploded nearly a week ago is back up and running. The Colonial Pipeline Company announced that the main lines were reopened Sunday morning. Officials also said that it may take several days for supplies of fuel to return to normal. According to Colonial Pipeline’s distribution map, markets in the south should get their deliveries in no more than a day. It may take up to three days for markets farther north. The pipeline had to be closed down after the explosion last Monday which killed one worker and injured five others.
