COMMUNITY CENTER IN ROCKWOOD UNDERGOING MAJOR RENOVATIONS

The Doug E. Wilson Community Center in Rockwood is undergoing major renovations, funded by a grant, and will remain closed until early or mid-November. The upgrades, which began six weeks ago, include enhanced handicapped accessibility, gymnasium improvements, and a new heating and air conditioning system.
According to City Administrator Becky Rupee, the swimming pool renovations are also in progress, with more details to be shared in a future newscast. Parks and Recreation Director Kenny Lower emphasized that the renovations, which started in late July and have a 270-day completion timeline, will bring significant positive changes for the community.
Updates on the project’s progress will be provided as the mid-November target approaches.
