Cornhole players from all over the area will come to Oak Ridge June 16 and 17, 2017 at the Oak Ridge Civic Center to compete for the state championship sanctioned by American Cornhole Organization (ACO). Officials with the ACO says the state championship is more like a festival of events than just a tournament. It will include juniors, seniors and women’s events as well as state single and doubles competition. Prizes include a $300 guaranteed purse for the ACO Big Blind Draw tournament and $450 for the state single and doubles champions. A cash payout will also be featured for the top three in the blind draw, singles and doubles tournament. Players wishing to participate are required to be ACO members but memberships of $25 per person can be purchased as a walk-up at the tournament. For more information, go to americancornhole.com
