Thursday evening, Crossville police responded to the Krystal fast-food restaurant on North Main Street for a report of a counterfeit hundred-dollar bill. They spoke with an employee who said a customer had tried to pay for food with the fake bill.

The customer said she didn’t know the bill was phony and said she’d been given it earlier while exchanging money. Officers advised the customer she should speak to a detective about the counterfeit bill.

Charges may be pending.
