COX SUPPOSEDLY SHOOTS SON OVER ARGUMENT ABOUT SCHOOL

A Kentucky man is behind bars after officials say he shot his son during an argument about school. The report states 41-year-old Chad Cox had an argument with his 17-year-old son about going to Harlan County High School.

Officials said that during the argument, Cox picked up a .22 rifle and threatened his son in front of another person. The gun fired and a bullet struck the teenager in the leg.

The 17-year-old boy was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

Cox was charged with first-degree assault, second-degree terroristic threatening and wanton endangerment.
