CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL TALKS DOWNTOWN PARKING CONCERNS
Parking seems to have always been a problem in the City of Crossville. Tuesday, the city council discussed the fact that the Chamber of Commerce has prepared and will be distributing a survey to downtown merchants on what they would like to see in the way of parking for their business. City Engineer Tim Begley presented several different proposals for new parking spots, which would include areas around the depot, Chop Shop, old Dave’s Pawn Shop, Main St, Lantana Rd, the Lewis and Craven’s properties, and the old handle mill. Council Member JH Graham asked City Manager Greg Wood to make sure that the Palace Theater and Library receive the survey as they are potentially the largest businesses requiring additional parking. The results of the survey will be announced at a future work session.
