CROSSVILLE CITY COUNCIL TO CONSIDER PURCHASE OF NEW K-9 OFFICER
The Crossville City Council will meet for a work session this Tuesday afternoon (September 3, 2019). One of the items for the council is a request for the purchase of a new K-9 officer for the police department. According to the invoice from Southern Police Canine, Inc. out of North Carolina, the cost is $14,000. That includes the canine, a 6 week handler course, food and lodging for the handler and training equipment. The request comes after K-9 Officer Arko retired this year. The meeting will start at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Crossville City Hall.
