CROSSVILLE MAN ARRESTED AFTER LAW ENFORCEMENT ITEMS AND DRUGS ALLEGEDLY FOUND IN HIS VEHICLE
A Crossville man is facing several charges after being pulled over with blue lights on the dash of his vehicle. Officers intercepted a white Chevy Tahoe driven by 33-year-old George Matthew Leeds on Golden Brook Drive Saturday (May 6, 2017). According to the report, the officer asked the man if the lights on the dash could be turned on to verify if it was blue in color which Leeds gave permission to the officer to do so. The officer then allegedly saw a gold badge on a chain with a case laying in the console. Officers also noticed several light bars in the vehicle that were either red or blue in nature. Police then ran a check on Leeds that came up an active warrant for violation of probation. Upon completing an inventory of the vehicle preparing it to be towed, officers seized a gold FBI badge, a DEA shirt, handcuff key and a Grizzly snuff container allegedly containing four mini bags of meth. Leeds was charged with possesion of drugs, criminal impersonation and violation of probation.
