CROSSVILLE MAN CHARGED WITH ABUSE OF A CORPSE
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is investigating a woman found dead in the back of a car in Fentress County. Fentress County deputies responded to a Jamestown home for a welfare check which is where a Crossville man identified as Nathan Wilson told investigators that he had killed his wife, Amber Yvette Goodwin, and placed her body in the back of the car.
Wilson claims the death was accidental, and the victim’s mother told investigators that Wilson had even contacted her over the phone to apologize.
As of today, the investigation is still ongoing as TBI agents investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
Goodwin leaves behind two children, ages 12 and 11.
Wilson was charged with abuse of a corpse and his bond is set at $150,000. A GoFundMe page has been set up to pay for Goodwin’s funeral and cremation expenses.
