CROSSVILLE MAN PASSES AWAY FROM INJURIES FROM RECENT HEAD-ON VEHICLE CRASH
A two-vehicle head-on accident in Cumberland County last week (May 9, 2018) that initially resulted in three injuries has turned fatal for one. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says a 2006 Ford Taurus driven by 77-year-old Katherine McFarland of Crossville and a 1998 Dodge Dakota pickup operated by 29-year-old James Eber of Sparta collided at the 12,000 block of Highway 70 West, just west of Pleasant Hill. Both drivers, as well as a passenger in the Taurus, 77-year-old William McFarland of Crossville, sustained injuries in the crash. U.T. Medical officials say William McFarland passed away yesterday (Sunday, May 13, 2018) from injuries sustained in the crash. Mr. McFarland will be laid to rest this Friday (May 18, 2018) in New Era Cemetery. Katherine McFarland is in stable condition as of today at U.T. Medical Center. No condition was available today for Eber.
