CROSSVILLE POLICE AID IN NABBING ALLEGED SUSPECTS IN HARRIMAN THEFT

Sunday afternoon, Crossville police spotted a white Chevy truck that had possibly been involved in a theft from the Harriman Lowe’s earlier that day. Roane County officials had issued a “BOLO” – Be On the Look Out – for the vehicle and its occupants. One officer recognized the truck and its occupants from prior encounters. The driver evaded police briefly, but the vehicle was found parked on the 200 block of East Adams Street, with the occupants standing in the driveway. As the officer exited his patrol car, 35-year-old Jeremy Lawrence Flury, whom the officer knew to have active warrants, stuck his head out of the door of the home, then disappeared inside again. The officer waited for backup and then proceeded with taking Flury into custody, after finding him hiding in a back closet. Flury’s father, 54-year-old Eugene Leroy Flury, also had an outstanding warrant; he was also taken into custody; both were taken to the Cumberland County jail. None of the merchandise taken in the Lowe’s theft was found in the Flurys’ vehicle.
