Early Friday morning, Crossville Police were dispatched to Walmart for an intoxicated male who was allegedly fighting with people. The subject, 21-year-old Casey Blake Hamby, was sitting just inside the store on a bench with several cuts and scrapes on his knees and elbows. Hamby continued to create a disturbance, smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech. He had to be carried to a police cruiser. After talking to store management, officers learned that Hamby had picked up a cash register and hurled it to the floor. A video tape of the incident is under review and vandalism charges could be pending against Hamby.
