The Crossville Police Department is proud to announce that Sergeant Jonathan O’Neal was recognized by the Avalon Center as their “Unsung Hero” for the month of November 2017. Sergeant O’Neal won the award for his work with Tennessee’s Lethality Assessment Program (LAP), which was implemented to assist with reducing domestic violence homicides and increasing access to services for victims of domestic violence. The program is part of Governor Bill Haslam’s Public Safety Plan to implement the Maryland Network’s LAP here in Tennessee.
