Crossville police responded this week to a home in the 200 block of Grove Loop after a neighbor accidentally fired a shot through a residence.

A female residing in the home showed officers where the bullet went through the siding of the home, traveled through the bathroom, into the cabinet underneath the sink, and lodged in a wall between the bathroom and a bedroom closet.

No injuries were reported.

Police made contact with the man responsible for the incident. He said he accidentally shot his rifle as he was putting it into his truck.

He offered to make repairs to his neighbor’s house.

The report did not indicate any charges filed in the incident.
