CROSSVILLE TREE BOARD TO HAND OUT TREES MARCH 2ND
The Crossville Tree Board will host the 2018 Arbor Day Celebration. Beginning at 9:00 AM on Friday, March 2, 2018 at the Turner Field Parking Lot in Centennial Park, City Mayor James Mayberry will be reading a proclamation announcing Crossvilles Tree City USA designation for the 18th year. About 2,400 trees, along with planting information, will be given out by Tree Board Members as well as volunteers from Cumberland County Master Gardeners, Wyndham Resort, and more. There are 16 different species of trees this year including white oak, bald cypress, and shortleaf pine. The trees are available on a first-come-first serve basis and are usually gone before 11:00 AM.
