CUMBERLAND CO. INVESTIGATORS LOOKING INTO RECENT RASH OF BURGLARIES

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office is looking into a recent rash of home burglaries. Sheriff Casey Cox told 105.7 News that deputies and investigators caught some good groups of burglars and continue to go after others in solving open cases. Cox also gave advice for homeowners on what they can do to reduce their risk of a burglary. If you are away from home, give your residence the appearance that someone is there and be sure to keep doors locked. Make sure anything of value outside is secured and keep a printed out record of all vin and serial numbers of vehicles, firearms and electronics. Cox added that neighbors out there need to watch out for each other and report anything suspicious to law enforcement.
