CUMBERLAND COUNTY B.O.E. TO TAKE APPLICATIONS FOR NEW DIRECTOR OF SCHOOLS
The Cumberland County Board of Education is seeking a highly qualified Director of Schools to start July 1, 2025.
According to the flyers, candidates must have a professional educator’s license, a master’s degree in education (doctorate preferred), and at least three years of successful school administration experience.
Key qualities include exceptional listening skills, effective communication, ethical leadership, decision-making ability, and experience in budget management, community engagement, and instructional leadership. The district serves 6,780 students across 12 schools (Pre-K to 12) with a budget of $80.9 million. Cumberland County, located on the Cumberland Plateau, is known for its artistic, outdoor, and business opportunities.
A screening committee will review applications, and the Board will interview selected candidates.
Applications, including a letter of interest, resume, licenses, transcripts, and five references, must be submitted online to the Tennessee School Boards Association by May 30, 2025.
